[Discussion] Jackets for the Summer - Do they work?

So, I've been analysing my wardrobe recently and been trying to rebuild and I've noticed my jacket and coat selection is really weak.I'd say my weakest is my jacket selection and strongest is shoes. To be fair, my jackets aren't even that bad they're just all mostly winter.What are your opinions on jackets in the summer? Do they work? I'm thinking of getting a like nice denim jacket from apc or something and then maybe a chore jacket probably. I'd like something that goes with my pink margiela Gats and my pink common projects tbh.I feel jackets are the easiest way to make outfits interesting but there isn't much choice in the summer.
