I want to apply a strip of duct tape about 30cm to a cotton t-shirt as seen in the attached picture. I've read that if you iron it on low heat the glue should bond with the shirt more. I've done this and in the morning I will test to see if it can withstand a washing machine. I want to ask what techniques do you know of that will help the tape stick.I bought 2 brands of tape. One is a thick industrial grade duct tape, the other is a thin, more plastic duct tape. The thin one seems to be holding better but I will see.
