My Acronym/Techwear collection so far.

Hi everyone. After the most recent Acronym drop, I wanted to share my small collection for people that may be unfamiliar with the brand or want to see how the clothes look outside of a lookbook. I found out about the brand relatively late, about two years ago and was really attracted to the unique designs and the quality of it all. After discovering that I enjoyed fashion as a hobby and migrating through different styles I landed on Techwear as my preferred genre. There is warranted criticism for techwear out there and its definitely not for everyone. Check this read if you wanna see some of the different opinions surrounding Techwear. I wanted my wardrobe to be more minimalist, more quality over quantity, and made to last. I believe that I achieved my goal and I'm really happy with how it turned out. Hopefully you guys enjoy!Starting from the bottom up, base layer, to hardshell. Fitpics will be at the endAcronym x Nike PrestosPrestos were never my favorite model from Nike but these turned out to be really really nice. Comfort level is really high and the ankle guard zips hold the shoe tight to your feet but not restricting. Design wise I feel like most people love them or hatem with the zips and cords hanging out.Y-3 Qasa HighsGrail of mine for a while as its commonly seen as "the" techninja shoe. incredible construction and is one of my staple everyday wears but it might be taking a backseat to the presto soon.P10-DSThe first piece I ever received from Acronym. Going through all the lookbooks the style and look is exactly what I wanted. I have slightly bigger thighs which makes finding jeans/pants difficult but these have solved that problem. Plenty of room in the seat and thighs and goes down to a hard aggressive taper with stacks. The fabric also has some intense stretch to it which makes me feel like I'm wearing yoga pants or pajamas. Its just outright comfy and one of my favorite pieces that I wear daily.P10-SI loved one so much that I had to get another in a different colorway and fabric. This time In RAF Green with Stotz cotton fabric. This one doesn't have much stretch but feels more study, more bulletproof, and very dense. I rotate back and forth between my two P10's throughout the week. If I had the opportunity (more cash) I'd get some of their other cuts of pants but for now these suit my purposes fine and any more would be overindulgence on my part.S8-DSMade of the same Dryskin Scholler fabric, this tanktop served me well as a standalone piece during this long, dreadful, southern california summer heat. I got a size small when I wear most medium tops in Acronym yet the length is still an inch longer than I'd like. and I wish the length discrepancy between the front and back seams wasn't so drastic. Maybe I'm just over the trend of long ass layered everything.S14-BRimpulse bought this on grailed for cheap. Its a comfy cotton sweater, keeps you warm and got some neat side pockets. I like the cut of the neck hole because its really profile to your body hugging you but not like turtleneck tight.DS-HD2If the P10 is my favorite pant of all time, this has to be my favorite hoodie. I think this came out Fall 2011 or 12, but it was very difficult to find these in circulation on grailed or ebay. I checked the Acronym Sufu Community sale thread every day and when one came up deadstock in my color and size I scooped it up immediately for an absolute steal. This pullover hoodie is rich with acronym features in a seemingly small package. You got the jacketsling, forcelock for headphones and YKK camlock zips. It fits close to profile and feels like nothing is wasted in regards to fabric. Wearing it feels like its very purpose driven if that makes sense.J48-SSFor softshells I had a pullover hoodie and wanted a zip up hoodie. This one is a little more heavy duty than the DS-HD2. The outer fabric is a waffle knit grid feel while the inside is some of the softest fabric ever. very warm and enticing. Thumb holes give it that ninja aesthetic and I really like the hand pockets because they go in two directions (the front and the rear of the jacket) giving it more room than it seems. The zipper teeth go all to the top of the hoodie so I can mimic a bape hoodie when I want to.J47-GTI previously had a J1A-GT and thought it would be my end all be all jacket. I liked it but after handling a high end acronym jacket I wanted something simpler and landed on the J47-GT. The fit is perfect for me and does everything I need it to do. Nothing necessary here. If I was able to find one I would get the J47A-GT but this will be an excellent placeholder. The gravity pockets are more novelty but everything about the jacket is amazing. If you have a chance to try any of their offerings you won't be disappointed3A-1The defining bag of acronym. It wears really nicely, even after stuffing it with plenty of heavy expensive textbooks the weight distribution is really nice. the construction feels tough and sturdy. The buckles are plastic but it seems like it won't break easily. I might still use a backpack on occasion but for now I love using this bag for school. If it was just half an inch bigger it would be easier to take my laptop in and out of though.FitPics I apologize in advance for the bad quality pics.If you guys have any questions or wanna know anything, feel free to ask. via /r/streetwear http://ift.tt/2cOzmbj
