Why RIPNDIP is an awful company and shouldn't be so successful right now.

Ripndip has reached the general population, and while I have absolutely no problem with a brand becoming successful, I feel that the company does not deserve all of the attention they are getting. Here's why.The DesignI was following Ripndip just before Lil Mayo (remember that alien) "endorsed" the company. Their selling points was the Muhammad Ollie Shirt/Hoodie and the Pocket Tee that we all know. Their store had those, plenty of art references, weed references, and sexual innuendo. It looked fine at the time because every company has their "edge factor", especially in certain brands like Skate/Streetwear.Now, all their designs are a repeated pattern of this. For the past 2 years now their concepts/designs have had almost no change at all. The formula is exactly the same as it has been since the start of the company. I literally cannot think of anything fresh that Ripndip has come up with. I even tried to look but to no avail could I find anything.Ryan O'Connor/SnapchatRyan O'Connor, founder of Ripndip, is a huge piece of shit. Here are a few reasons why I say this and he doesn't deserve this recognition that he is getting for his brand;Wife beater. We all know the stories of him beating his wife. This guy who should be a deadbeat instead is rolling in money from buyersRIPNDIP SnapchatHoo boy. I started to follow Ripndip Snapchat once they started heavily advertising the platform and viewed their Snapchat story from when they were taking off all the way to its successful state.Spoiler: It's fucking awfulIt's just Ryan O'Connor with 10 minutes of story everyday of the same thing. Him taking videos of random people and saying some Ripndip taglines, making fun of and recording homeless people (that isn't edgy, it's just shitty), him going to parties and showing off his lifestyle, and making fun of kids who buy his products. Also some extra stuff I learned about Ryan OConnor while I was doing researchHe underpaid the person who designed THE MOST ICONIC LOGO FOR THE BRANDHe does little to no skating at all, or at least isn't very good for that matterApparently, according to people who worked with him, he's just kind of a dick around the clockNo Original Designs/Conceptsthis comment sums up why Ryan is a sellout, steals concepts and designs, and why Ripndip in reality is something that should be completely obsolete. Fuck the company and all it stands for.Feel free to discuss with me if you agree/disagree with me on this. via /r/streetwear http://ift.tt/2EiAArm
