My name is Rickey and this is my custom hoodie from scratch .I been sewing for a year now, and I Haven't really made anything from scratch using my own pattern instead of using one I bought from a fabric store. So I went to a really good fabric store that sells designer fabric from Calvin Klein to Alexander wang fabric. I picked up a maroon/plum red kint fabric to make my hoodie. I bought about 3 1/2 yards of fabric that cost me about $90-100. I started to make it December 29th and I finished it January 8th. I could have finished it earlier but with New Years coming up before I started the fabric store was closed. This hoodie was inspired by the vetements hoodies with the long sleeves and the huge hood, I tried to make the hoodie a little over fit but I didn't expand it as much as I wanted it to. This hoodie does have a lot of imperfections but you have to consider that this is my first time making a pattern from scratch, and learning how to sew a hoodie with little knowledge how. I got more in depth with my process if you click on the link to the hoodie to see more pictures. If you wanna see another garment I made from scratch, look back at my older post where I made a windbreaker from scratch using a old windbreaker as a pattern. If you have any questions I'd me happy to answer them. And feedback would be awesome. Ima make another sample and if I like it, I was thinking about making a bunch of them and sell them.
