I’m genuinely not trying to come across as some douche who only dresses in designer and wants to talk about it to inflate my ego. I can’t afford LV but I genuinely think designer is some of the most interesting clothing out there and I wanted to discuss it with anyone who feels the same way. That being said, I’m not sure quite what I think of Virgil’s first collection as a whole. I like certain pieces such as the leather chest accessories but I feel like as a whole the show can be broken down into three avenues of exploration that Virgil wanted to communicate: Wizard of oz graphic-centric, luxury tactical, and pale wave nouveau. Individually I like the ideas behind every one of them but all together I didn’t feel like it made for a cohesive line. I’d say I much prefer Kim Jones’ work at LV and Dior for his ability to also have distinct styles within a show and yet have all of them work towards a singular vision.Let me know what you guys think! via /r/streetwear http://bit.ly/2QJ2OQu
