[Discussion] What are some examples of 'timeless' outfits and essential pieces of clothing?

Basically asking what you guys think are some examples of outfits and styles that are always considered fashionable and never really go out of style.Similar but what would be a good list of 'essential' articles of clothing everyone (who's interested in fashion) should own?Conversely, what are some examples of outfits and styles that have aged/will age very badly and we'll look back on like 'what were we thinking'?
