Hey guys, last week, Supreme posted their Lookbook and Preview for Spring/Summer 2017. I had been meaning to start writing for my new blog and figured I would start with analyzing the entire Preview. I knew the process would be long, but that was an understatement. Anyways, I am here now with my full commentary. Please let me know if this is of any interest to you guys if so, I plan on analyzing Palace's Preview they posted today along with any other requested lines. Feel free to jump to the bottom for my 'Best of' and 'Worst of' Albums if you want an abbreviated write-up.As the re-opening of Supreme approaches, the legendary streetwear brand has posted their preview of what's to come from them this Spring/Summer. Ranging from Faux Fur Bomber Jackets to an Obama tribute to a Mini Bike, there's a lot to look forward to this season coming from Supreme. While opinions are always subject to change, I wanted to share my initial reactions on what's to come. Before I proceed, I believe it's important to evaluate the Lookbook and Preview yourself before taking in input from others. So, if you haven't done so already, go check them out in the hyperlinks above. Now, to allow for more angles of each product to be looked at, I'll go ahead and link each section's official webpage next to links to my analysis. (Format: Supreme Link - My Review) Please note, I am no Supreme expert, just approaching this commentary regarding streetwear as a fan of the brand. After spending a week writing each day, I was bound to have a bit of inconsistency in rating pieces, so please keep that in mind. Lastly, please remember, this is MY opinion if you hate what I love, or vice versa, that's totally understandable!Jackets - ReviewAt an average of 6.2/10, the Jacket section impressed me this season. Plenty of hits and plenty of misses which is what I like to see.Shirts - ReviewNever been much of a fan of the Shirt section but this selection was decent. Nothing stands out as great and only a few weak pieces which gives this section an average of 5.84/10.Tops/Sweaters - ReviewWas somewhat disappointed with this section, but it had its moments. Ended up with an average of 5.89/10 which is relatively strong. Plenty of interesting pieces that I'm sure others will appreciate.Sweatshirts - ReviewOnly a few pieces here I was really feeling. The Overdyed pieces were the highlight here for me. Average ended up at 5.65/10 here.Pants - ReviewIn the past, I overlooked the Pant section regularly. However, this season, after analyzing them, I was quite impressed. At 6.52/10, this is the section with the highest average for SS17.Shorts - ReviewSimilarly to the Pant section, I have typically ignored the Shorts. However, this season, I was quite impressed by several of the options that will be releasing. 5.79/10 was the ending average here.T-Shirts - ReviewVery hit or miss here, which is fine with me as I'd rather have a few great items that I want to cop over a bunch of mediocre ones. Additionally, it typically means more experimentation is taking place. As a result, this category was rated 5.7/10.Hats - ReviewGot extremely repetitive in this section with only a few pieces I would consider purchasing. Leading to a rather low average of 5.26/10.Bags - ReviewFelt like this section was so close to amazing but branding ruined it. Ended up a 5.71 despite this, though.Accessories - ReviewWas super excited to see such a fun collection of Accessories after the disappointing FW16 range of Accessories. This section came out to a solid average of 5.86/10.Skate - ReviewOne nice board, one mediocre board. The result, a 6.5/10 average. All in all, I am very excited for what looks to be one of my favorite seasons to be a part of. As a whole, the season averaged a 5.82 rating, one I expect to be higher than most. For those looking to save some time, I have compiled albums showcasing the highest and lowest rated pieces below.Supreme SS17 Preview - Best ofSupreme SS17 Preview - Worst ofThank you so much for reading!
