First of all apologies for no discussion last week, I couldn't submit the post on Monday and I decided that I will just leave it till next Monday so I didn't take up a sticky spot.This week we will be discussing Stone Island, Stone Island is an Italian brand, it is very well known for it's compass, It was founded in 1982 by Massimo Osti but is now ran by Carlo Rivetti. As some people may know CP Company is Stone Islands sister brand.Stone Island has been putting out pieces since 1982, you can find an archive which consists of 200+ images here.Stone Island is somewhat painted in a negative light due to many hooligans, football casuals and chavs in European countries wearing the brand, while I cannot comment on America's situation it is often avoided in the UK because of the stigma attached to it. Despite this the quality of Stone Islands garments is incredibly high.In this video you can see how Stone Island creates their jackets, as displayed in the video Stone Island puts a lot of effort into their clothes to assure the highest quality possible.Stone Island has collaborated with Nike, Supreme and Argentina designer Aitor Throup, along with various others.
