There are way too many misconceptions about Saint Laurent Paris on this sub.

The ex-creative directors name is Hedi Slimane; not Heidi. Not everything is super skinny as it is commonly thought to be on this sub. For example the flannels aren't supposed to fit like a dress shirt. They're meant to fit a bit oversized to make the legs look longer and slimmer in comparison. The term SLP aesthetic is overused and is heavily misused. Not everything with skinny jeans and boots is SLP aesthetic.SeF isn't as good of an alternative to SLP boots as many think. There are very few good looking cheap alternatives to this style.YSL was pre-Hedi Slimane (2012). Hedi Slimane rebranded it as Saint Laurent Paris as homage to Saint Laurent Rive Gauche.D02's aren't supposed to be ultra skinny and show off your leg. It's supposed to be tight on the thighs and slightly hug the calves, not be glued to them. This and the slight stackage from the longer inseam help to play the proportions resulting in slimmer and longer looking legsIf you don't know much please don't spread misinformation. Let the people who do know what they're talking about give the information. The absolute best things you can do to learn is to watch their runway shows and to read about the house. If you're interested in learning more about Saint Laurent please refer to the following links for gaining basic knowledge:SLP KTT Thread Credits to /u/slann01 for creating the FAQ and contributing a lot to the thread.SLP Inspo album that somewhat captures the "SLP Aesthetic" Credits to /u/NotCumberbatch for creating the album.A very rare Hedi Slimane interview by YahooI hope that this post is enough to clear some misconceptions about Saint Laurent. If you have any questions feel free to leave a comment and I'll be sure to reply to the best of my ability. Thanks for reading! via /r/streetwear http://ift.tt/1MZydeK
