Now, hear me out: I know that reps are generally accepted in this sub a ton, but why so much? Most of the excuses I hear consist of "It's my money I can spend it how I want" which is 100% correct, but when people say shit like "Well I like the aesthetic and I wanna replicate it so why not buy the exact same thing?" is so wrong to me. When I was still in high school, the only time I ever bought a replica was when I was tricked into it, other than that if there was something I really wanted I had to skip out on it.I just really don't see a point in getting fake clothing. If you don't have the money, simply don't buy it. I know resell on shit gets crazy expensive sometimes, but at the same time that's capitalism. People want to be exclusive and it'll always be that way.But really now, I just wanted to generate discussion. I personally am not about em.P.S. - I know another excuse I hear is "well if you're not flexing in em, it shouldn't matter" but 99% of the time most people aren't willing to tell you they wear fake clothes (because in all seriousness, it'll prompt a roast whether you're flexing or not). The thing is, chances are you want to match an aesthetic you can't afford.Edit: Man, this is gonna make some good podcast material.
