Proposed /r/Streetwear rule changes - WDYWT, Pickups, W2C/ID

The mods have discussed the state of the sub, and attempted to craft some new rules, and clarify some rules to change the current content and gear the sub toward a more discussion oriented content style. We have devised three new revisions that we believe will achieve this. The three revisions involve the WDYWT rule, Pickup threads, and W2C posts. This combats Wdywt threads being masked as Pickup threads. It also prevents W2C spam/memes from filling half the new front page.WDYWT - Megathread/Whitelist- WDYWT megathread posted every 28 hours- When a user reaches a cumulative 500 karma on WDYWT thread they send a mod mail to /r/streetwear with a list of their karma comments- These are approved on an individual level by mods, if approved user is added to a whitelist.- Whitelisted users can post WDYWT threads, moderators have discretion to remove the posts/revoke whitelist membership. The goal of this is to combat the current spam levels of WDYWT threads being posted, but still allowing for those members generating really good WDYWT content to post outside of the thread, which helps generate discussion around these fits, and promotes sub growth - we expect these separately submitted fits to be of high quality and will remove any we don't believe to be in the spirit of this rule. Yes, it's subjective as fuck, and yes, it is a bit unfair but it's the best solution to the WDYWT problem we've come up with thus far.Pickup Posts - Replaced by Review Posts- Pickup posts renamed to review posts- New Review Post flair- Reviews must contain minimum 120 words.- No fit picture required.- Removed at moderator discretionW2C/ID Posts - W2C/ID Megathread- W2C/ID thread every 52 hours- Successfully find an item, get a point.- Criteria for reward is 20 points = 20 found items- Reward is custom flairThese are proposed changes - we would love to hear your feedback about them. Thanks,Mod team via /r/streetwear http://ift.tt/2qkg5Gd
