[DISCUSSION] WHERE DO YOU DRAW THE LINE IN THE SAND
Where do you draw the line with a brand where you cannot where or purchase what they make? Ethics is always subjective, purely by principle. So what ethically can you not tolerate in business? Sweatshops are always the obvious thing to think about when it comes to the ethics of a company. But what about about price point? If a brand charges (retail not resell) triple what the quality and piece itself reflects, then will you still purchase the item? And if you are purchasing the item is it only because of the artistic value? Branding or the designer themselves? What if that designer has just been accused of abusing their child? Does that piece that they designed and produce reflect the designer actions and legacy? Oh the directions this can go in. But what do you have to say? [DISCUSSION] Streetwear type clothing for introverted vs extroverted people?
I'm currently getting this vibe that most streetwear styles is for "life of the party" extroverted people, and I'm the complete opposite.I'm more of the type who would rather sit home alone or in a library or museum than be in a night club full of people. Anyway, this got me thinking that loose/baggy clothing, long shirts, hoodies, bomber jackets, loud colours, track pants and runners give off a more "extroverted", outgoing, super casual, "hip hop" vibe, and that trench coats, simple nice fit clothing, normal sized, simple coloured, etc are for a more "relaxed", reserved, cold, clean, "upper class" and more formal-like feel.I really like the bomber jackets and the track pants and runners, but not a fan of the long t shirts or the pants that end below the knee. I'm not sure if it will be weird if I wore a bomber jacket which may signal an energetic and outgoing personality, and I think it would be weird seeing a "loner" type personality with little social energy wearing something like that. There would be some sort of cognitive dissonance that others would feel because what I wear doesn't match up to my personality. So thus I don't see myself fitting "completely" in the extroverted side of the spectrum.On the other hand, trench coats, boots, and simple looking clothes are either too boring for me, or aren't as comfortable, or are too "clean" for my look and personality. I am a less social person, but these again don't fit my personality.How do I go about picking which one I like? [DISCUSSION] Accessories with gold jewellery?
Hey streetwear,My normal style is sort of japanese inspired with a bit of hypebeast thrown in. For example, yohji/drapey/cropped pants with vetements/gucci/balenciaga outerwear and trainers. I usually go for quite a simple fit, and feel like I use my jewellry to spice it up a bit. I have a real gold signed ring, a thin gold bracelet and a gold chain around my neck. I have no silver jewellery, which makes it hard sometimes as I want to wear a jailer keyring or a chain hanging from my waist but they're always silver and I'm not sure how a gold one would look.What accessories could you guys recommend that I wear with gold jewellery?Also, any cheap sites to buy jewellery from?
